ATA Sights Travel Editorial Design

With numerous editorial design awards, A Great Idea brought travel content to international readers as Art Director for ATA’s quarterly in-flight magazine. The publication (managed by INK Global) received wide recognition for its travel editorial, Mexican and American coverage and successful ad sales in addition to book, article and original content graphic design.

  • Just My (Creative) Type

    Strong and playful typography is critical to keeping the graphic design‘s elegant, adventurous feel for this travel publication. Blending the right headline serifs with clear and concise sans-serifs produced a balance and award-winning combination for editorial design.

    As an inflight magazine, the key driver in reaching the onboard audience was to elicit interest from the outset. This meant cover images and compelling editorial design that demonstrated the richness of each destination while creating clear calls to action, i.e. purchasing a ticket for that next adventure.
