The Golden Gypsy is a small retail store on the coast of Florida priding itself on global goods and attention to developing artists. Their grand opening was hampered by a hurricane that swept through the city of St. Augustine. They approached A Great !dea seeking to find a way to support the local community in recovery from the storm while also drawing attention to their unique brand and product. A Great !dea delivered a social media strategy called “10 to the Rescue” using Facebook, Instagram and a targeted email which provided awareness messaging for local shelters addressing abandoned or hurt pets supported with a percent of profits donated to these charities. A Great !dea also provided all the art direction, graphic design and copywriting for the campaign. Local media took notice and without any paid media support, news and social media influencers threw their support behind the endeavor securing substantial reach and interest.

Voces Latinas addresses the devastating impact of HIV among Latinas in the New York City borough of Queens. They approached A Great !dea with the goal of advancing an annual educational outreach program’s impact on the local community. Through collaborative discussions and acknowledgement of budget restrictions, the published campaign (poster, brochures, and additional collateral) delivered a unique approach featuring program participants shot in local scenes holding a unique poster done in a style resonant with street signs found in Central and South America.
With more than two dozen editorial design awards, A Great !dea brought style and substance on board to millions of readers in a five-year span as Art Director for AirTran Airways’ monthly in-flight magazine. The publication (managed by INK Global) received wide recognition for its travel editorial, celebrity interviews and successful ad sales in addition to book, article and original content graphic design.
In the evolution of this very popular, effective, and award-winning content/ecommerce hybrid program for Verizon Wireless, A Great !dea collaborated with the PACE and Verizon Wireless teams as a leader to co-write the content strategy, guide the wireframing and userflow process and establish the user experience requirements while art directing the process and contributing to front-end development.
Senior Whole Health led the nation in providing affordable and innovative health care plan for “dual-eligibles” — people who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid in the state of Massachusetts (and now also New York). For the program’s high-profile launch, SWH hired A Great !dea to provide numerous brand and identity solutions ranging from the tri-block logo creation to the art direction of posters, brochures, postcard mailers and forms.
